This has been the best Cajun Creole restaurant I've been to outside of New Orleans. The Jambalaya Pasta and the Blackened Shrimp and Grits are what I would recommend highly. Between 4-6 is happy hour with some great drinks and appetizers. If you're in the area stop on in and enjoy a speakeasy vibe with great food and drinks!

My husband and I came here for our Anniversary and I'm glad we did. We made reservations early and I'm glad because we came during happy hour and as the night went on, it got busy.Donnie was our server and she was fabulous. She provided recommendations, she was pleasant and the evening special.....The food we had was greatAppetizers: corn bread and Cajun fire shrimp were DelishMain: My husband had the Gumbo and he loved it... just enough spiceI had the Red Fish and it was served over Jambalaya with gumbo sauceOverall experience was fabulousDon't forget to also make reservations for the speakeasy downstairs

We had SUCH a great experience here! We came for brunch for my bachelorette party, and they were so sweet and gave us both free shots and a free mimosa each ❤️ Shout out to Donnie the bartender and Sophie our waitress, they were the best! Food was also incredible, the chicken and waffles were TOP NOTCH 🥰

Very great vibes. Donnie is a great bartender. Sophie is a very nice waitress and helped us take a group photo for our bachelorette trip. Jesus cleaned our table consistently and was great. The owner is very kind and helped my friend with celiac find what to eat. Great experience!!!

Jada the bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was very good, well seasoned. It was a little pricey but that's what you get in the loop. A good meal well worth it!

Donny took great care of us. We did bottomless mimosas and she kept our glasses full and was so sweet and attentive. We will be back!!

Cool little hidden spot

Was visiting Chicago and was craving seafood, so me and my gf booked a reservation here for dinner on a whim. The savory beignets were a great start to the meal, and then the shrimp and grits and seafood gumbo were delicious. The house cocktails are also interesting and wonderful. Best Cajun food we have had outside of New Orleans

All around excellent experience. The live music was a nice surprise and the food was out of this world. Definitely get the Cajun Fire Shrimp - the sauce is on another level.Will definitely be coming back to try their brunch next time I’m in Chicago.

Really enjoyed my evening at Storyville. Ordered the jambalaya pasta and it was so delicious! Afterwards, we went downstairs to visit their Speakeasy.

Aaron was just fantastic 👏 👌 🙌🏽 😍 the ambiance is perfect! The smooth dimly lit atmosphere made room for a great drink 🍸 and the food is outstanding especially the Gumbo.....love this spot and if you're in the area please try story ville. You won't be disappointed 🥰

Such a beautiful little place with a lot of charm. The Cajun inspired food is really good, with flavors that blend together beautifully and taste fantastic in every dish. I can’t believe I lived in this neighborhood for two years and never stumbled upon this place. What a nice find on a return visit to Chicago. Highly recommend for NOLA atmosphere, jazz, and the beignets.

I have nothing but positive recommendations to say. The food was on point! We ordered chicken & waffles, bourbon burgers, biscuit & waffle sandwich and shrimp and grits that were equally 10/10. Our waitress Donnie was an absolute angel, attentive and exuded the epitome of hospitality. We will be back the next time we are in Chicago. Also 10/10for the music, decor and vibes. This is an amazing little spot that left a great impression on us. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the overall experience felt relaxed and enjoyable. Our server was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and a big part of what made the visit so memorable.The food was definitely the highlight of the meal. Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. While the drinks were just okay, they certainly did not take away from an otherwise excellent experience. Between the great service, tasty food, and charming atmosphere, this is a place we will happily return to in the future.

Amazing little spot, our server was amazing, the drinks were okay. However the food was delicious. The linguine and the binets were my favorite. It was a memorable time and will be returning.

Excellent customer service here at this restaurant. Owner greeted us right when we walked in. There was a table of 16 of us. They were able to accommodate every single last one of us. The food was very fresh and delicious. I want to give a huge S/O to Abel Jada, Sophie, Aavon and Jesus I will also like to give a huge shout out to Steven, who was the entertainer for the night he kept us entertained such a wonderful voice He even sung, happy birthday to my cousin for her birthday we will definitely be back again thank you all

The Cresent City Jambalaya with crispy rock fish was superb! Beautifully decorated restaurant. Oh, and the cocktails were great as well.

Oscar and his team have served me and my family and friends for the past 2 years here! A wonderful place to get a drink, eat delicious food, and enjoy life 🙂

I visited Storyville Chicago and had a really lively, flavorful dining experience. Storyville Chicago The restaurant felt vibrant, modern, and a bit energetic, with a fun atmosphere that worked well for groups and a night out. I ordered a mix of seafood and Southern-inspired dishes, and everything was rich, well-seasoned, and satisfying with bold flavors. The portions were generous, and the presentation was appealing without being overcomplicated. Service was friendly, upbeat, and attentive throughout the visit. It’s a great Chicago spot for seafood, cocktails, and a social dining experience.

My family and I went yesterday for brunch. The service was wonderful. Donnie and Andrew were both delightful and made sure our table had everything we needed. The food was so, so good! I had the All American Breakfast with a side of grits. I'm not sure what the recipe for the grits is, but never change it! We will be back the next time we're in Chicago!

All around great! Service, food, price, and atmosphere was awesome. We went for brunch right at 11 on a Saturday. I would definitely make a reservation as it really fills up quick and I can definitely see why! We ordered biscuits and gravy (best I’ve ever had) and bananas foster. Highly recommend!

This place is so cozy, especially on a cold winter day! The gumbo was absolutely delicious, rich and comforting, perfect for a chilly Chicago winter. The rest of the food we ordered was good too, and you really don’t need to go to New Orleans for authentic Creole flavors. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Food and atmosphere were great! We had one bad drink but the staff were so kind and remade it for us. I would definitely return

I attended a social event at Storyville and the place was awesome. Very friendly atmosphere among the staff. The food served was tasty. Since it was a social event I'm not familiar with their regular menu but if the catered food is an indication it is worth a visit to explore a great place.

Wow! Storyville did not disappoint! The service provided by the bartender, Chantel, embodied the culture, passion, and spirit of Chicago. And the spirits she crafted were truly unique and refreshing. I drink espresso martinis faithfully. Not even going to lie, she made the best one I’ve ever had! And the food- chef’s kiss. The atmosphere including the aromas and art were great as well. Would definitely recommend.

Storyville was a great brunch spot my girlfriend found. Great atmosphere, food was so so good!! They have this fantastic sauce our server Tony recommended and wow, was he right! As for service, Tony was such a down to earth person- great service, was very personable, and went over the top to give us great recommendation for tourists. Stop by if you want a great brunch spot with a great vibe, great food, and affordable bottomless mimosas!

If you're looking for tasty cajun seasoning and friendly service - this is the place. I love their dessert beignets! The staff here are always so helpful.

As a Louisianian, when traveling, every city claims to have "Louisiana flavor" food. We celebrated my birthday at Storyville. We had a blast and the food was delicious! We ordered several different plates to get a taste of everything...and everything was well seasoned. We had: Fried Okra Gumbo Pasta Jambalaya Cajun Linguini Chicken Wings

Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the food, but the vibes and the staff here were great! Very cool place to hangout. If in the area I recommend trying Storyville.

This place was well worth the visit! My group arrived during Happy Hour and took advantage of the great deals they had going on. The drinks were delicious, the vibe was immaculate, and the service was impeccable. I truly appreciated the friendly bartenders and their great attitudes. We were also eternally grateful for the hostess who worked hard to get us a table and make us feel welcome despite the busyness.

The atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed my Hurricane and my wife enjoyed her cocktail although to be honest I forget which one it was! (It was one of their specialty ones.) I enjoyed the jambalaya pasta and my wife loved the redfish. We did not check out the speakeasy but will definitely be back and plan on seeing it. I would highly recommend this place
